Be Their Light In Shining Armor
The autumnal equinox marks the beginning of fall—meaning shorter days and longer nights. It’s a perfect time to light a lantern and bring some beauty into the night.
Join us on September 22nd for Alive and Aglow, our newest virtual fundraiser. As the sun goes down, we’ll light battery-operated paper lanterns to usher in the new season. You can decorate your lantern to honor the memory of a dear departed pet, celebrate the life of your current furry friend; or just make your own creative design — it doesn’t even have to be pet-related.
Rescue truly never stops. Not even for a pandemic. We’re doing all we can to keep up, but we’ve lost $90,000 in revenue so far this year, and our animals are still depending on us! So let’s come through for them!
HOW IT WORKS
Just sign up at the link below, pay a $30 registration fee, and we’ll order your lantern (we’ll email you a pickup time and location). Then, invite friends to donate to your own personal fundraising page (participants are required to raise a minimum of $100). Remind friends that fundraising is more important this year than ever because we’re unable to host in-person events--so that means there’s very little revenue coming in.
Alive & Aglow will be live via Zoom, so you can share your lantern design and story with others. Or just light your lantern privately if you prefer. Decorate your lantern any way you like, but give it some thought. There will be prizes for the most creative design and for the top three fundraisers. Plus, everyone gets a bonus ALIVE Rescue flashlight.
